EAKTEK (pronounced “eektek”) was formed by experts in the industry with the conviction that AI and machine learning technology will revolutionize the way manufacturing is performed. We leverage over 60 years’ industry experience to gain unique understanding of data sets. We are primarily focused on data generated in regulated environments (FDA, EMA, etc), and have experience in a variety of industries.

Eric Keller is a seasoned engineering professional with over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industries. His expertise spans cGMP operations, large-scale cell culture, fermentation manufacturing, technology transfer, and process development. He has served as an Associate Director in the engineering department at Lonza, overseeing critical engineering functions. Previously, as Principal Engineering Project Manager at Regeneron, he led projects supporting cGMP production and facility expansions. Keller has also held senior roles at Hyde Engineering + Consulting, EA Keller Technologies, Emergent BioSolutions, and Amgen, contributing to equipment design, process optimization, and successful product launches. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and has completed Master’s coursework in Engineering. Currently enrolled in the Caltech AI Bootcamp intensive AI training..

James Mullen is a seasoned scientist with over 30 years of experience in biotechnology and process development. He has served in various roles across multiple sectors, including government, industry, and academia. His recent role as a Product Compliance Scientist at GDIT involved consulting the Army Command on FDA regulatory submissions for vaccines, treatments, and medical devices. Previously, as a Principal Scientist at Keller Technologies, he led efforts to improve manufacturing processes for whey proteins and lactose, and contributed to cost reduction and output optimization. His career also includes significant expertise in fermentation, having worked with vaccines and biopharmaceuticals at Emergent BioSolutions and the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Additionally, he has teaching experience, having served as an adjunct instructor in human anatomy and physiology at Blue Ridge Community & Technical College. His educational background includes a Master’s in Genetics from West Virginia University and a Bachelor’s in Microbiology from Southern Illinois University.
